Raytheon Australia establishes new Aerospace Centre of Excellence in Brisbane

BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND, Australia (15 February 2007) - Raytheon Australia is pleased to announce the establishment of its new Aerospace Centre of Excellence in Brisbane, Queensland. Geoff Gillespie, General Manager Aerospace Systems said, "Raytheon Australia's Aerospace Centre of Excellence improves our customer access to the diverse capability of the company in this domain.”

Raytheon Australia’s Aerospace Centre of Excellence provides our customer easier access to our people, processes and program delivery across all our aerospace programs. “The Centre will operate from expanded Raytheon offices in Murarrie until the new purpose-built facility opens in 2008,” Mr Gillespie said.

Raytheon Australia’s program delivery in aerospace has grown steadily since 1999 and includes systems integration and mission support.

The Company's aerospace team delivers a wide breadth of programs, including: electronic warfare training for the Royal Australian Navy, systems integration and in-service support for F/A-18 Hornet Aircrew Training System (HACTS) simulators at Williamtown, and avionics maintenance for the F111s at Amberley.
